Anderson's Senior Management Team recently attended the National Ice Cream Retailers Association in St Petersburg
Florida.

Each year at the annual convention members are able to submit samples of their ice cream to a professor of dairy
science and an independent laboratory prior to the annual convention, to be analyzed and compared to ice cream
standards. This year Dr. Ron Schmidt, University of Florida, Gainsville, analyzed the samples of vanilla and chocolate ice
cream entered. The ice cream is scored, according to color, texture, taste, bacterial count and other factors.
Anderson's sample of Double Chocolate Fantasy Ice cream earned the honor of a Blue Ribbon; the highest placement.
Anderson's also received a Red Ribbon for Original Chocolate Ice Cream.

In addition to the Ice Cream testing, seminars and outings the NICRA convention hosts a Live Auction in honor of Bryce
Thompson ("the oldest living soda jerk", an icon in the industry). The funds earned from the auction areawarded in
the formof scholarships to selected employees of NICRA members. The employees must be recommended by the
employer and also have to completean essay as well as supply educational and extra curricular activities. This year
Anderson's Delawarelocation had an employee who was awarded a $2,500.00 scholarship.
Anderson's has been a member of the NICRA organization for over 10 years.
