About Our Gluten Free Options

At Anderson's, we are aware that Celiac Disease, gluten sensitivity, and wheat allergies are very serious matters. Therefore, gluten free options are an important part of our menu. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder that can occur in genetically predisposed people where the ingestion of gluten leads to damage in the small intestine. Worldwide, it is estimated to effect about 1 in 100 people. Studies show celiac disease to be hereditary, meaning it tends to run in families. As a Buffalo restaurant which prides itself on offering delicious food and quality ingredients suitable for the entire family, we are proud to help our guests make the right healthy choices when eating outside their home by offering gluten free options across our menu. Although we provide a list of Gluten Free options for our consumers, please be aware that like in any food service facility, cross-contamination may occur.

Although our toppings, flavorings and colors do not contain Gluten, they may be produced in a facility that processes products containing Gluten.

Any flavor with a Gluten inclusion is not Gluten-free and can cause contamination of those flavors that are among our gluten free options.

  • Flavored Ices are Gluten Free.
  • Handmade Ice Creams: many gluten free options except:
    • Those with gluten inclusions (such as but not limited to cake pieces, cookie pieces, pretzel pieces)
    • Additionally, please be aware that cross contamination can occur.
  • Ice Cream Sundae Toppings are Gluten Free* *(Be aware that the manufacturing facilities where some of our toppings are produced also produce flours.)
  • Gluten Free Cones may also be available dependent on location.
