Happy Spring 2026!

In the Spring 80 years ago, a young couple opened a frozen custard shop in Bronx, NY. They had been stationed in NYC after the war and they were unsure what they wanted to pursue. One had a law degree from UB, but was not interested in following through with a career in that field.The couple had a passion for serving and a heart for people...they had a friend who sold ice cream equipment....they had a few friends who could donate skills needed to start a business.... and so it began.... Mr & Mrs Carl & Greta Anderson opened their first Anderson's Frozen Custard in New York City on White Plains Blvd back in 1946.They learned to work side by side each serving their guests with smiles and kindness. The up and coming entrepreneurs became experts in the field of frozen custard. They created a special stop for families in NYC. However, they were growing homesick for their families back in Buffalo.

It was just a short time later that they moved back to Buffalo and opened a 2nd location on Kenmore Ave. Mr & Mrs Anderson were known for their hard work and commitment to quality. They flourished in the Ken Ton community and were becoming a place to share a cone after a baseball game, a drs visit, meet a friend....have a first date!

We are proud to say that the visits after games, first dates and catching up with friends still occurs at our now 7 locations plus our Food Truck! We are honored and grateful to all of our teammates & guests throughout our 8 decades of business.We genuinely appreciate how our guests share their family traditions at Anderson's, all while enjoying the taste of all natural roast beef, a signature frozen custard or a handmade ice cream cone!We appreciate the hard work of our teammates who not only twist and scoop cones, slice the beef ....they also serve our mission daily- to give and create smiles!

Our business is strengthened by the people on both sides of the counter. We are so very thankful! We look forward to sharing more of our story (and your stories too!) as we celebrate the founding of our business. Each season in 2026, we will have fun activities and reflection opportunities to celebrate! Cheers to 80 years at Anderson's... A Taste for all Traditions & Smiles for all Seasons!
