We are so grateful and feeling blessed to be celebrating our 75th anniversary this summer!

Our alumni and current teammates have Given and Created so many Smiles :) for which we are very thankful. Our guests have cheered us on through so many phases of our business from expanding our stores & our menu and not to mention the reduction of services during the pandemic.

Many of you know that we began in 1946. Did you know we actually started in the Bronx, NYC? Mr & Mrs Anderson were stationed there after the war in which Mr Anderson served. They were not quite sure what to do ...until one day when a friend suggested opening an frozen custard stand. Mr Anderson borrowed money from family members to start the business and had friends help set things up. The business opened on White Plains Blvd near a movie theater. Carl & Greta worked tirelessly to serve with a smile and build a place that welcomed all. Soon after the pair grew homesick for their families back in Buffalo. They decided to pack up and move back home where they opened a 2nd location on Kenmore Avenue.

The business was welcomed into the community. In fact the Anderson's realized they needed a bigger building with more parking. (Haha- in NYC everyone walked...but in Buffalo people like to show off their cars so a big parking lot was definitely needed.) Our 3rd location was then opened in the middle of a parking lot on a country road.... Sheridan Drive.

Carl & Greta developed this location into a frozen custard phenomenon that would then include roast beef and even fries! The couple enjoyed serving the community and the business became a staple in the Ken Ton area. Many of their children worked in the business through their early years and eventually some of them took over the business in the mid 1980's.

Currently Holly and Keith Anderson (daughter and son of Carl & Greta) are at the helm of Anderson's. We have grown to now have 6 store locations and a food truck. We work with 200+ teammates and enjoy teaching many of the young people in the area how to navigate their first job. Our Management Teams work day in and day out to provide high quality food and desserts to be enjoyed across WNY and even shipped across the US. (Cheers to our Goldbelly shipping teammates!)

We are proud to participate with local organizations to support their causes and assist with fundraisers. With our team and our guests help we have been supporting Camp Good Days & Special Times for over 20 years along with Hope Chest, For Our Daughters, Prevention Focus and more. Carl & Greta definitely taught us to be supportive and look out for our neighbors and community. The donations and fundraising are successful because of our communities support as well as our teams dedication to serve and assist.

Included in our thanks are the hard working and dedicated suppliers, sales reps and delivery teams who keep us stocked with all the treats and eats you enjoy.
